Day 03
In your own space, set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
So I'm not one for actually sticking to goals or resolutions, to the point that I've given up making them. Yet, I don't want to cop out on a day of the challenge so instead, I'm going to give three words that I am going to try and live by, in every aspect of my life.
Do it now.
This phrase could relate to, but is not limited to, the following situations:
- Bookmarking stories I want to read.
- Commenting on stories I've read/art I've viewed/personal posts.
- Replying to comments.
- Replying to messages/texts/e-mails/etc.
- Cooking. Like, properly.
- Baking.
- Reading.
- Walking/photography.
- Ironing.
- Being the one to organise meeting up with friends.
Doing things now isn't always as easy at it might be. It takes me time to process my feelings about something I've read/watched before I'm really able to articulate them. Some tasks I'd like to do may cause me anxiety, which makes me want to put them off. For other tasks, not doing them is just the easy option. So, I'm not expecting to smash this goal from the off and keep it up. It will be something that I won't always be able to succeed at. Sometimes there will be other factors at play and sometimes it will be a case of choosing my battles. My goal is just to try and then, as long as I'm still trying by the end of the year, I will consider myself successful.
