Snowflake Challenge: Day 1

On the bandwagon, times two!

Firstly, look at me go, I'm on Dreamwidth now :P Secondly, let's give this snowflake challenge a whirl.





Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.



1.) Title: Into Oblivion (LJ/AO3)
Pairing: Sirius/Severus
Word Count: ~15k
Author's Notes: This was written for hp_goldenage's fest, where the characters must be 50+. It handles the difficult subjects of terminal illness and assisted suicide, while also looking back on how this unlikely pair came to be, and how they have developed, as individuals and as a couple, over those years. It makes most people cry, but overall it's an uplifting journey. I am very proud of it, but understand why not everyone can read it.

2.) Title: Wanna Bet? (LJ/AO3)
Pairing: Charlie/Scorpius
Word Count: ~600
Author's Notes: This is a little ficlet that focusses on bondage. It was an idea I'd wanted to get down for a while, and I found a little prompt at charlieficathon's comment drabble fest which fit. I sort of wish I'd used the idea on a more popular pairing, or a rare pair with a smaller age difference, as I think that has had a hand on why it's so overlooked. I'm really happy with the sensuality of it, though and the way it showcases the kink, which is why I wanted to give it the spotlight here.

3.) Title: Made To Be (LJ/AO3)
Pairing: Charlie/Bill
Word Count: ~2k
Author's Notes: This is a dark little hurt/comfort fic that I wrote for My Bloody Valentine at hp_darkarts. This was a rather different Charlie to the one I usually write, (and those who know me know how much I like to be different!) and I'm very happy with the plot twist and how it was received by commenters.

4.) Title: Two Truths and a Lie (LJ/AO3)
Pairing: Remus/Sirius
Word Count: ~3k
Author's Notes: This is a newer one of mine. Wolfstar were my original OTP: my introduction ship not just to slash, or to HP fanfic, but to fanfic entirely. This story is my head canon for these two, a tale of getting together at last.
 

I've never posted to dreamwidth before, and I have to run off now, so I'll be back later to probably put some edits in, a cut when I work out how to do it with the cross-posting and A03 links x)

Welcome to DWth :). The AO3 Share code works quite well here, and the cut is the same as LJ if you know that code?

Thank you for ensuring the challenge went ahead! I saw it last year, but I'd signed up to so many fests, I thought it was best to leave it. So glad it's still going! I want to say I hope you enjoy the fic, but I should probably instead warn you to take the tissues *g*

I love that DW is so, so similar to LJ, such an easy transition. And how awesome that edits there to cross-posted entries will edit here too!
