Half way through writing, I nearly slowed this down, started with Lily pondering things over breakfast before confronting Hugo. I let myself think on it a few days, though, and when I went back to change it, it suddenly seemed right the way it was. Super happy that you agree! And yay for heart-on-sleeve Hugo, I remembered that from our Cafe Nero talk ;)
I used to be really bad at over-expressing, writing in every eyebrow-quirk and finger twitch, but I've worked hard at just expressing the necessary and letting the reader fill in the rest so again, great to hear that works for you!
And yes, I would call it the sexy bit, it's likely as sexy as any of my het is going to get LOL! I feel totally the same way about kisses, I cut so many of them in general because they're boring and repetitive, it's something I often really struggle with. But it was strangely easy to write that kiss, probably because there was something familiar in it, for me personally.
And now you're making me grin and blush and want to dance up and down the garden in the sunshine from all your lovely, lovely words! ♥ ♥
