My Head Canon

I just thought this might be fun! This is my head canon, but I don't always stick to it. In fact, what I love most is exploring new possibilities and trying something different.


Characters

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Neville are pretty much Daniel, Rupert, Emma and Matthew for me, but I aged Dan much more gracefully than they did for the epilogue. I still haven't found my Draco. Alan Rickman's voice is my Snape voice, and the rest of him isn't too far off I suppose.


Yep, Johnny Depp is pretty much my Sirius. There's a few subtle differences, and the voice is completely different.


Ewan McGregor isn't my Remus, but this image is the closest to my Remus I've found so far. He needs to be more ragged than this.


This is close to my Charlie, but add tattoos, chest hair and a ton of freckles.


This is pretty much my Bill, add piercings.



Pairings

Remus/Sirius

They both knew they had feelings for each other for a long time before Sirius finally decided to do anything about it. Remus never would, because he doesn't feel worthy of love and thinks that Sirius deserves so much more. I like them getting together in school, cause it's cute and happy, but I think really they didn't. The reason Sirius mistrusted Remus and thought that he could be the spy is that Remus was trying to hide his homosexuality, due to the prejudice of the time. Tonks didn't happen and they both lived happily ever after :P

Harry/Draco

I find it more believable for them to get together due to having to work in close-ish proximity, in the recovery from the war or after their canon relationships broke down. Basically Draco needs time after Hogwarts to develop his own, less bigoted opinions before Harry's going to even entertain the idea. I'm not adverse to a bit of eigth year hate sex though!

Sirius/Charlie

I love this pairing, but only as a casual relationship. I believe they can have some steamy hot sex, but there's no deep feelings going to develop.

I do enjoy reading different ideas though, I'm not totally blinkered by my head canon. I don't really have head canon for other pairings atm, I love exploring different possibilities.



Sex Roles

In any non-D/s relationship, I'm a big fan of switching in general. It just seems more realistic and opens up possibilities.

Remus/Sirius

I like the idea that Sirius topped Remus until the full moon approached, and then Remus would top. I can believe that Remus would be a sub because the wolf in him wants to dominate, so he would rebel against it. I can also believe that remus would be a Dom, because the wolf has so much control over his life, it would be cathartic for him to have control over someone else's. Sirius loves to talk dirty, whatever position he's in.

Harry/Draco

I can get on board with either topping and/or taking a dominant role. They both have their reasons for potentially wanting to take or give up control.

Older/Younger

My instinct would be to have the older character taking control, topping and being dominant, but it's rather unrealistic so I prefer shaking things up a bit.

Charlie/Anyone

I love a cocky, confident, in control Charlie. He's definitely a Dom in my head canon, but I can also see him enjoying being on the receiving end of some rough treatment too.

My headcanon basically comes from this smoking hot fic that entrenous88 wrote a couple of years ago. I've been desperate for more of the like ever since. :)

Agrees with you on so much here. Gary Oldman was never my Sirius. I want to bang my head against a table every time I see him in that role. No, just... no. I wouldn't say Johnny Depp is really him for me, but I've also never really considered it.

I've yet to find anyone who fits my head cannon for Remus.

Sirius/Charlie is a pairing that I greatly enjoy. I agree about the whole not really having deep seeded feelings and really just in it for the fun hot sex. That's why I'm into it at least. ;)

Switching who gets to be on top is a big yes for me. And what you said about Remus/Sirius totally fits my head cannon! Switching really just makes so much sense for me, and I don't know if that's because it relates to me personally or not. Really though, it just opens up a whole lot more possibilities kink wise.

Older/Younger

My instinct would be to have the older character taking control, topping and being dominant, but I'm a fan of shaking things up a bit too.

Don't know if it's a pairing you'd enjoy or not, but this is something I wrote a few years back and your comment made me think of it.

Johnny's not 100% my Sirius, but in certain roles he's damn close. The voice is different though. I'm still looking for Remus too, but that pic is closer to my head canon than David Thewlis is so thought it was worth putting on there.

If it's smutty, not het, fem, dumbledore, hagrid or filch, I'll enjoy it =D I am not very fussy when it comes to pairings! Thanks for the rec, I'll go check it out =)

Oh what a fun post! I actually like movie Remus and I don't mind Gary Oldman as Sirius (but I've never felt strongly about Sirius either :/ ) But now that you mention it when I read a story with Sirius I don't imagine Gary Oldman's image~

I adore Tom Felton as an actor but my head canon definitely has Draco looking a little different.

And yes I agree about your sex roles!

Back before they cast Remus, I was on the Ralph Fiennes train but now I can't really see that! I sometimes get David Thewlis's voice when I read fics, but Gary Oldman is no where near charismatic enough to be my Sirius.
